Help and support

Our No Frills plan has simple, low usage rates which are easy to understand. The low rates you sign up on today are fixed and won’t change during the 12 month benefit period. It’s a no lock-in contract with no exit fees.

No, if you choose to leave EnergyAustralia during the benefit period, no exit fee applies to our No Frills plan.

No Frills has simple low rates instead of discount rates.

Your supply of electricity and gas is made up of daily supply charges and usage rate charges. With our No Frills plan, these charges will be fixed for 12 months. Other possible charges, such as late payment, dishonor, disconnection, GreenPower and credit card fees are not fixed and may vary during the term.

No. No Frills is a stand-alone product which doesn’t offer a discount. When selecting one of our energy products we encourage you to compare the benefits of our other plans with our No Frills plan to make sure you’re on the right plan for your needs.

Yes, to be eligible for No Frills you need to sign up to direct debit to pay your bills. Direct debit is a great way to ensure you never miss paying your bills.

Yes, to be eligible for No Frills you’ll need to opt in to receiving your bills and other correspondence via email.

No Frills is only available for residential customers. We have a range of plans available for our business customers, you can find out more on our business plans page.  

Yes, solar customers can take up a No Frills plan with their eligible feed-in tariff. Please note that while your electricity and/or gas energy prices are fixed for 12 months, any applicable solar buyback rebates or credits are not fixed, so they may vary.

Yes, GreenPower is available with No Frills at an additional cost.

Yes, when you opt-in to Go Neutral, carbon neutral electricity is available with all our home electricity plans, six months from your start date.

No Frills is only available on a 12 month term.

No Frills is available in all areas for electricity. There are two areas where gas is not available Wimmera (ie Horsham, Avoca) and Wagga Wagga. Please refer to the Basic Plan Information Documents (BPID) for more details. 

Yes, if you’re an existing electricity and/or gas customer, you can easily switch from your current plan to No Frills. Simply visit My Account.

We'll notify you when your benefit period is nearly at its end and let you know what your options are, including other great plans available. 

No, No Frills is not transferrable between residences. If your home is in an eligible area, you can sign up for No Frills at your new address, but the rates may change depending on where you move and what time of the year you move.

If you request some changes to your plan or account such as if you move premises, add solar or change your meter configuration you will need to restart your plan and your rates may change (provided that your new address or meter type is still eligible for the No Frills plan).
