No, if you choose to leave EnergyAustralia during the benefit period, no exit fee applies to any of our plans.
Yes, our Total Plan has a guaranteed discount off your total bill, not just the usage rates. The discount applies to both your daily supply and energy usage charges.
Other possible charges may include late payment, dishonour, disconnection, GreenPower and credit card fees. These aren’t fixed and may vary.
We’ll automatically opt you in to get your bills and anything else from us by email, but you can opt out if you would prefer to receive them by post. You can do this in My Account or over the phone.
Yes, you can add a solar service to your account and can choose from our Basic plan, No Frills plan or Total Plan and be eligible for the solar feed-in tariff.
Yes, GreenPower is available with all our energy plans at an additional cost.
Yes, you can opt-in to our carbon neutral program, Go Neutral, at no extra cost, on any of our residential electricity plans. We start offsetting the carbon emissions associated with your home electricity six months from the date you opt-in.
Our plans are generally available in all areas for electricity. There are two areas where gas is not available - in the Wimmera region of Victoria (Horsham and Avoca); and Wagga Wagga in New South Wales. Gas is not available in Queensland. Please refer to our Energy Fact Sheets (EFS) or Basic Plan Information Documents (BPID) for more details.
Yes, if you’re an existing electricity and/or gas customer, you can easily switch from your current plan to any of our generally available plans. You can do this in My Account.
Your plan will continue until we let you know of any changes.
If our energy rates change during the benefit period and you’re on a variable rate plan, we’ll let you know before this happens. If you’re on a fixed rate plan, your rates will remain the same for your benefit period. Other fees and charges (including GreenPower) may vary.
No, our plans are not transferrable between homes. If your new address is in an eligible area, you can sign up for the same plan, but the rates may change depending on where you move and what time of the year you move.
If you change your plan or account (for example, if you move home, add solar or change your meter configuration), you’ll need to restart your plan and your rates may change, provided that your new address or meter type is still eligible.
