Our 200kW DC fast chargers typically cost more than slower AC chargers but deliver faster charging speeds. Refer to the app for charging prices and locations.
Our chargers accept multiple payment options including, Mastercard and Visa chip cards, contactless credit and debit cards, prepaid cards, mobile wallet payments like Apple Pay and Samsung Pay.
All payments made at EnergyAustralia chargers are processed through our payment partner Nayax, which meets the highest global security standards (including Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), Visa payWave, and Mastercard PayPass) to ensure your transaction is safe.

Idle fees are charges applied to encourage drivers to vacate the charging bay once their vehicle completes charging. Additional charges start to apply when an electric vehicle remains plugged into a charger after it has finished charging. Specific idle fees are displayed via the Chargefox app.
Payment related
No subscription is required to initiate charging. You can opt to create an account on the Chargefox app for features like receipts, charging history, and other charger functionalities. Or else you can just use the charger as a guest and pay via your credit/debit card.
No, billing starts only when charging starts.
Receipts are available in the Chargefox app and can be emailed for your records. When using the payment terminal, please scan the QR code displayed at the start of the transaction and enter your email address and it will automatically be emailed to you, or scan the QR code on the terminal at the end of the transaction for the receipt to be sent to your phone.
If you see a pending charge that looks higher than expected, don’t worry - some payment providers place a temporary pre-authorisation hold to confirm your payment method. Yes, you can stop charging via the charger screen (utilising the credit/debit card that initialised the charge) or via the Chargefox app.
Yes, charging will stop automatically once your vehicle’s battery is full.
Charging speed depends on your vehicle’s maximum charging capability. Even if your EV can’t accept 200kW, it will still charge as fast as it can safely take.
Yes, you can charge two cars at a time, if the charging bays are available.
Some PHEVs cannot charge using DC fast chargers.

- Depending on the make and model of your PHEV, you may be limited to AC charging only, which uses a different type of charger.
- The EnergyAustralia charging network is equipped with CCS2 plugs only, please check your plug type before charging.
If your vehicle only supports AC charging, it won’t be able to charge at DC fast charging stations like this one, even if the plug looks similar or fits the port.
Idling & etiquette
Yes. To keep chargers available, idling fees apply if your vehicle remains connected once charging is complete. These will be displayed in the Chargefox app and on the charger.
Yes, charging bays are only for active charging. Time limits and idle fees apply.
No. The charging session can only be stopped via the Chargefox app or the credit/debit card that initiated the charge or by disconnecting the vehicle.

Partnership & sustainability
We can’t guarantee the energy powering these chargers is renewable. This is because, only a percentage of the energy coming through the grid is renewable, and is dependent on the state you are in. However, the percentage of renewable energy available is steadily increasing.
