EnergyAustralia has today announced it has signed up as joint major partner of Port Adelaide Football Club.
The two year partnership, with a further one year option, will extend to SANFL team The Magpies and includes joining the club’s Power to End Hunger campaign in partnership with Foodbank South Australia.
Joining the club at Adelaide Oval, EnergyAustralia’s General Manager - Sales and Marketing, David Hamilton said Port Adelaide’s outstanding young talent, committed leadership group and its unwavering allegiance to its local community were among the reasons why EnergyAustralia had chosen to sponsor the club.
“We are proud to be partnering with Port Adelaide – we are two organisations with similar visions, values and cultures,” Mr Hamilton said.
“As a leading Australian energy retailer, we put our customers at the heart of everything we do, we value team work, and we are always finding ways to improve and support local communities through our actions.”
Mr Hamilton said EnergyAustralia intended to pursue an active involvement with Port Adelaide Football Club via brand promotions and offers and incentives to its members, as the business worked to expand its retail base in South Australia.
“Deregulation of retail electricity prices in South Australia has boosted competition and helped deliver more innovative products for customers,” he said.
“We value our customers and are constantly looking at ways of developing tailored plans and services that help meet their specific needs and connect to their local communities.”
EnergyAustralia’s distinctive logo will appear on Club jumpers from Round 1 of the pre-season competition.
EnergyAustralia has been a long-standing energy retailer in the State, having first entered the South Australian energy market as TXU in 2003.
Nationally, EnergyAustralia employs 1500 staff across South Australia, Victoria and NSW.
