EnergyAustralia, one of Australia’s leading energy retailers, has been named Electricity Provider of the Month for August, making it the third month in a row it has won consumer research group Roy Morgan’s top consumer award in the category.
Roy Morgan’s customer satisfaction ratings are collected annually from the research firm’s Single Source survey of 50,000 Australians.
EnergyAustralia Chief Customer Officer Kim Clarke said the number-one ranking reflected two years of hard work to improve service levels and put customers at the heart of every business decision.\
“Winning this award once is great, but to do it for June, July and then August as well – three months in a row – is a fantastic achievement,” Kim said.
“We feel very proud because these awards mean we’re delivering the quality of service that our 1.7 million customers want and expect from their energy retailer.
“The energy market is increasingly volatile and is evolving rapidly, so keeping ahead of the competition will be a real test but we feel up for the challenge,” Kim said.
EnergyAustralia was also named Gas Provider of the Month for August. EnergyAustralia is the only energy retailer this year to take out both awards in the one month.
The Roy Morgan survey gave EnergyAustralia a 71% customer satisfaction rating. Kim said there would always be room for improvement but EnergyAustralia was moving in the right direction.
