Welcome to your new energy account. We’re here to help every step of the way, to make things as easy as possible for you to keep track of your account. 

By now, you will have received your Welcome Pack officially welcoming you to EnergyAustralia. Your meter information will be transferred on the move-in date you requested, and your next energy bill will be from us.

Important note on billing frequency

Your electricity is billed every three months. If you’re in Victoria, your gas is billed every two months. If you’re outside Victoria, your gas will be billed alongside your electricity (every three months).

Possible changes to your account 

If you’re an existing customer with us, you might notice some changes to your account from your previous bill. Here’s some important information:

 Meter changes  

Your new home may have a different meter to your last place. This means you might not be able to see the meter readings on your bill. This happens regularly and does not affect your account or billing in any way. For more information on how your meter works, check the understanding your meter page.

  Bpay changes 

Another change you may not realise is a change to your reference number (Ref) when making BPAY® payments on your account. If you’re using BPAY®, make sure you update your reference number (saved in your bank account) before making a payment. You’ll find your new reference number located on the front page of your bill, under the ‘electricity or gas payment options’ section.
