• Prices have increased as the costs of providing our customers with energy have risen. 
• This price rise doesn’t just affect EnergyAustralia customers – most energy providers in the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia will be increasing their prices around July as costs of supplying energy continues to become more expensive. This year, the main reasons for price rises in these states include:
  • For electricity, higher costs we are being charged by local network providers to distribute energy to homes and businesses; 
  • Increased cost of participating in government schemes;
  • Increased business costs associated with servicing our customers e.g. system upgrades, infrastructure and operational expenses.
