You don’t need to be at your property to have the power turned on, just ensure the mains electricity switch is off and there is clear access to your meter.
If clear access is not provided there may be additional connection charges.
In Queensland you may need to be at the property if the power is not connected. For more information call 133 466.
*In New South Wales (Ausgrid distribution only) if there is no power at the property someone over the age of 18 must be at the property during the connection. Find out who your distributor is.
**In South Australia access to the meter and main switch is required for your electricity to be connected.
