Almost 200,000 people are eligible to sign up to TRUenergy's competitive energy rates as part of the One Big Switch promotion.
One Big Switch is an initiative designed to provide group discounts on household bills, including electricity and gas.
As part of its latest offer, One Big Switch has selected TRUenergy as the retailer to provide a group discount for eligible electricity and gas customers in NSW, the ACT, Victoria and South Australia and Energy Australia as the retailer for Queensland.
Director of Retail, Adrian Merrick, said he was delighted TRUenergy had been given the opportunity to provide One Big Switch participants a chance to cut their electricity and gas bills.
"We understand that people are concerned about rising household costs," Mr Merrick said.
"Consumers want a better deal on electricity and gas and that's why we decided to invest in this initiative.
"Our offer is highly competitive and could make a real difference to customers wanting to reduce their bills."
Over the next week, One Big Switch will send emails to its members outlining the offer.
Mr Merrick said the offer would help many people cut their energy bills.
"This is a great offer that will make a real difference to many people's bills but as with all choices to switch retailer, members should make sure it suits their circumstances," he said.
This offer is only available to members who have registered with One Big Switch.
Members have until 17 August, 2012 to take up the offer at www.onebigswitch.com.au. Those who miss out on this offer can phone TRUenergy on 133 466 to discuss other available offers that might suit them.
