EnergyAustralia announced the appointment of Eglantine Etiemble as the company’s new Chief Information Officer, commencing today.

Ms Etiemble brings more than 25 years of experience in leading technology transformation and digital strategies across complex, multi-national organisations.

Her appointment strengthens EnergyAustralia’s leadership team and the company continues to leverage technology and data to enhance customer experience and support Australia’s energy transition.

Most recently Group Chief Technology Officer at PEXA, the ASX-listed digital settlements platform, Ms Etiemble has substantial leadership experience across technology strategy, platform modernisation and enterprise-wide AI adoption to support the company’s national and international growth. Prior to that she was Executive General Manager, IT & Digital at DuluxGroup and her earlier experience includes technology leadership roles at O-I Glass across Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America.

Recognised as one of Australia’s top executives – including ranking #3 in the CIO50 Awards in 2023 – Ms Etiemble is known for combining technical expertise with a focus on collaboration and building high-performing teams that deliver tangible business outcomes. She is a Non-Executive Director of the Tech Council of Australia, a member of Chief Executive Women and a graduate of the AICD Director Course.

Ms Etiemble succeeds Julie Bale, who is retiring after seven years as Chief Information Officer. Ms Bale will remain with EnergyAustralia through to early July to support a comprehensive handover.
