The offer is made available by EnergyAustralia Pty Ltd (ABN 99 086 014 968) and Velocity Frequent Flyer Pty Ltd (ACN 601 408 824) (Velocity). If you participate in the offer, then you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Sign-up Offer – New residential customers
1.1. You are a new residential customer, and will be eligible to receive Velocity Points if:
- You sign up for an Anytime Saver plan for a new electricity, gas or electricity and gas account
- You are a current Velocity member
- You sign up directly with EnergyAustralia and:
- provide your Velocity membership number and name
- agree to receive your bills and correspondence by email
- agree to pay your bills by direct debit
You will be eligible to receive the following for sign up:
- 5,000 Velocity Points for a new electricity account
- 5,000 Velocity Points for a new gas account
- 10,000 Velocity Points for a new electricity and gas accounts
1.2. You can only sign up to an Anytime Saver plan with EnergyAustralia if you are located in ACT, NSW, SA or VIC (electricity and gas) or QLD (electricity only) and meet the eligibility requirements for the Anytime Saver plan.
1.3. You must provide your Velocity membership number and name, agree to receive your bills and correspondence by email, and agree to pay your bills by direct debit prior to being issued with your first bill.
1.4. You will only be eligible to receive the Velocity Points if your Velocity membership name exactly matches the name on your EnergyAustralia Anytime Saver plan.
1.5. You will be eligible to receive the Velocity Points once EnergyAustralia becomes responsible to supply you with electricity and/or gas (as applicable) under the Anytime Saver plan, and any applicable Cooling-off Period has expired.
1.6. EnergyAustralia will arrange for your Velocity Points to be automatically credited to your Velocity account by Velocity within 10 business days after your first bill is issued. You will forfeit any Velocity Points if you cancel your Anytime Saver plan before your first bill is issued.
2. Sign-up Offer – Existing residential customers
2.1. You are not a new residential customer in relation to an energy service if you have, or have had, any residential energy service with EnergyAustralia on or after 22 February 2017 (including on a Flexi Saver, Anytime Saver or Fixed Rate plan) whether at your current premises or another premises. However, EnergyAustralia will treat you as a new residential customer if you sign up to an Anytime Saver plan for a new energy service that you have not previously had with EnergyAustralia (whether at your current premises or another premises) on or after 22 February 2017. In other words, we will treat you as a new residential customer if you have, or have had, an energy agreement with EnergyAustralia on or after 22 February 2017 (including on a Flexi Saver, Anytime Saver and Fixed Rate plans) for:
- Electricity: We will treat you as a new customer if you sign up to a new Anytime Saver gas account (you will be eligible to receive 5,000 Velocity Points)
- Gas: We will treat you as a new customer if you sign up to a new Anytime Saver electricity account (you will be eligible to receive 5,000 Velocity Points)
- Electricity and gas: You will not be eligible to receive any Velocity Points for new customers
For example, if on 23 February 2017 you have a Flexi Saver plan for gas but not electricity, and sign up for an Anytime Saver plan for electricity, then you will be eligible for Velocity Points. However, you will not be eligible for any Velocity Points for switching your Flexi Saver plan to an Anytime Saver plan for gas.
2.2. We will only treat you as a new residential customer if you have complied with your existing energy agreement with EnergyAustralia (including paying any applicable exit fee).
3.1. If you are a new or existing residential customer with EnergyAustralia, then you are eligible to receive 2,000 Velocity Points for each EnergyAustralia residential energy plan on the anniversary of the day that EnergyAustralia became responsible to supply you with electricity and/or gas (as applicable) under that plan (your Anniversary Date) provided that:
3.1.1. you are a current Velocity member; and
3.1.2. prior to the Anniversary Date you provide your Velocity membership number and name, agree to receive your bills and correspondence by email, and agree to pay your bills by direct debit. You can do this by logging on to EnergyAustralia’s MyAccount.
3.2. This Anniversary Offer also applies if you received the Sign-up Offer provided that:
3.2.1. you continue to be a current Velocity member and the Velocity membership details you provided EnergyAustralia are correct; and
3.2.2. you continue to receive your bills and correspondence by email, and pay your bills by direct debit.
3.3. EnergyAustralia will arrange for your Velocity Points to be automatically credited to your Velocity account by Velocity within 10 business days after your Anniversary Date. In order to receive your Velocity Points you must not have any outstanding unpaid bills.
4. Virgin Australia Holidays Voucher Offer – Residential customers
4.1. If you are an EnergyAustralia residential energy customer (other than a customer who has signed up to an Anytime Saver plan on or after 23 February 2017 and who is eligible to receive Velocity Points under the Sign-up Offer set out in Sections 1, 2 or 3 above), you are eligible to receive a $100 Virgin Australia Holidays Voucher if you provide your Velocity membership number, agree to receive your bills and correspondence by email, and agree to pay your bills by direct debit during the promotion period. The promotion period is from 23 February 2017 to 22 February 2018 (inclusive). You can access the offer by logging on to EnergyAustralia’s MyAccount.
4.2. The voucher is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. One voucher will be awarded per existing EnergyAustralia residential energy customer, irrespective of the number of EnergyAustralia accounts you hold. You should allow up to 10 business days for the voucher to be emailed by Velocity to the email address recorded on the Velocity membership account.
4.3. The voucher may only be used on Virgin Australia Holiday packages which include flights and accommodation at a minimum. The voucher is valid for bookings made up to six months after receiving your voucher. The voucher will expire on this date and no cash refund or further credit requests will be entertained. Travel may occur after this date.
4.4. The voucher can be redeemed online or via the Virgin Australia Holidays Guest Contact Centre. To redeem online, simply log onto www.virginaustralia.com/holidays and enter your voucher code on the payment page when making your booking. Alternatively, contact the Virgin Australia Holidays Guest Contact Centre on 13 15 16 Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm AEST and Saturday 9am to 5pm AEST and quote your voucher number at time of booking. There is a $30 per person booking fee capped at 4 people per booking for bookings made via the Virgin Australia Holidays Guest Contact Centre. The voucher cannot be redeemed on an existing booking. Only one voucher may be used per booking. The voucher can only be used by the Velocity member named on the voucher and is not transferable. The voucher cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion.
4.5. The voucher is non-transferable, non-extendable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The voucher cannot be used on Cruise packages or Mystery Breaks. 5.1. EnergyAustralia and Velocity may vary these terms and conditions provided that we do not vary them to your detriment without giving you prior notice.
5.2. EnergyAustralia may vary the offer period and the number of Velocity Points on offer from time to time, and the Velocity Points on offer are only available within the offer period.
5.3. If you breach these terms and conditions before becoming entitled to Velocity Points, then EnergyAustralia and Velocity may elect, acting reasonably, not to award you with Velocity Points. If EnergyAustralia and Velocity discover the breach after the Velocity Points have been awarded, then EnergyAustralia and Velocity may decide, acting reasonably, to remove them from your Velocity account.
5.4. To earn and redeem Velocity Points you must be a Velocity member. Velocity membership and Points earn and redemption are subject to the Velocity Member Terms and Conditions, as amended from time to time.
5.5. Velocity Points are provided by Velocity, not EnergyAustralia. EnergyAustralia is responsible for arranging Velocity to credit your Velocity membership account with Velocity Points in accordance with these terms and conditions. EnergyAustralia is not responsible for how the Velocity Points are credited (or refused to be credited) or any characteristics of those Points (except as otherwise specified in these terms and conditions). If you have an enquiry or complaint that in any way relates to the Velocity Points you should contact Velocity Frequent Flyer Membership Contact Centre on 13 18 75, within 3 months from the date of any activity giving rise to your enquiry or complaint.
5.6. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to create a partnership, joint venture or agency relationship between EnergyAustralia Pty Ltd and Velocity Frequent Flyer Pty Ltd.
