I need some help to set-up My Account

It only takes a few minutes to register for My Account.

To get started, ensure you have your account number (which you can find on your latest bill) and one of the following forms of ID ready:

  • Driver license number
  • Passport number
  • Medicare card number

When you’re ready, just follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit https://www.energyaustralia.com.au/myaccount-login
  2. Click Register for My Account
  3. Enter your account number and postcode
  4. Verify your identity
  5. Agree to our terms and conditions
  6. Click the Register button

How do I link my energy account?

  1. Sign in to My Account
  2. You will be prompted to Add Account.  Click this button
  3. Choose the correct tab to enter Residential or Business details
  4. Now add your account number and service address postcode to retrieve your account
  5. Authenticate your identity using one of the suggested items
  6. Now your account has been linked

How do I unlink an account?

  1. Sign in to My Account
  2. Under the energy account you wish to unlink, find the “I want to” section
  3. Clicking on “I want to” will reveal a drop down box, from which you can select “Unlink this account”

How do I update my profile email address?

  1. Sign in to My Account
  2. From the Manage Accounts menu, select “My Profile”
  3. Edit your details, and submit the changes.

How do I update my contact details?

  1. Sign in to My Account
  2. Select Account Holder Details from the Manage Accounts menu
  3. If you need to make a change to the details listed, click the Edit button
  4. Make the changes required and press submit
  5. Your changes will take 5-10 days to be updated.

How do I view my bill?

  1. Sign in to My Account
  2. Next to the account and fuel you wish to see the bill for, click on View Bill
  3. This will take you to a list of bills available for viewing, for all fuels you have an account for with Energy Australia.
  4. Now select View Bill next to the particular bill you would like to see.
  5. Your bill will open in a new window, and you will need a PDF reader to view it

How do I pay my bill?

  1. Sign in to My Account
  2. Next to the account and fuel you wish to see the bill for, click on Pay Bill
  3. This will take you to AusPost BillPay where you can enter your credit card details and pay your bill

You can also click on the Pay Bill button next to the bill in the View Bill section 

How do I update my billing notification preference?

  1. Sign in to My Account
  2. Next to the account and fuel you wish to see the bill for, click on View Bill
  3. This will take you to a list of bills available for viewing.
  4. Click on Change Bill Notifications from the main menu at the top of this page
  5. Now make your selection, then click on Update

How do I apply for a payment extension?

  1. Sign in to My Account
  2. Select Request a Payment Extension from the Bills & Payments menu
  3. Enter the details requested
  4. Choose a 1 week or 2 week extension period.
  5. Press the Submit button

How do I update my concession details?

  1. Sign in to My Account
  2. Select Provide Concession Details from the Bills & Payments menu
  3. Enter the details required
  4. Press the submit button
