EnergyAustralia is the default retailer for the supply of gas for some residential premises in NSW. For those customers who are supplied gas by EnergyAustralia under these arrangements the EnergyAustralia Default Gas Agreeement (01/07/2011) applies. The EnergyAustralia Customer Charter (01/07/2011) provides a summary of the customers rights and responsibilities. 

Gas Supply Information Schedule

The following is important information relating to your agreement with us for the supply of gas to your premises. 

Default Gas Agreement and Customer Charter (01/07/2011)

The Default Gas Agreement consists of the Agreement Conditions, Disclosure Statement and Privacy Statement.

The enclosed Customer Charter is a summary of your rights and obligations as an EnergyAustralia customer under the Default Gas Agreement. It sets out information that will help you understand your Default Gas Agreement with us. 

Commencement and Term

The Agreement commences when you start consuming gas at the premises. It has no fixed term and continues until it is terminated by you entering into another agreement with EnergyAustralia or with another retailer. You may terminate the agreement at any time and no termination fees apply. 

Billing Period

You will receive your gas bills at least every three months. 

Gas Rates

For the gas rates applicable to you, please click here. 

These rates are the same as the published rates applicable to the premises under standard supply arrangements and may be varied from time to time by the standard supplier. 

Fees

In addition to the gas rates, the following fees apply: 

Late Payment Fee - You will be charged a late payment fee of $10.00 if your gas bill is not paid in full by the due date. GST is currently not applied to this fee. If this changes, the $10 fee will be increased by the relevant GST rate. This fee is not applicable if you pay your bills using Regular Payment Option. 

Dishonour Payment Fee - You will be charged a dishonour payment fee as outlined below if there are insufficient clear funds in your bank, credit union or building society account to meet your payments:

Dishonour Cheque Fee - Up to $19.80 (inc GST)

Dishonour Bank Fee - $4.99 (inc GST)
