Report instances of graffiti vandalism

Graffiti vandalism, or `tagging’, is often a problem in urban areas, and many homes and businesses are targeted by graffiti vandals. In addition, pieces of community infrastructure, such as EnergyAustralia’s electricity substations or other assets, can also be subjected to graffiti vandalism.

EnergyAustralia aims to keep its network assets free of graffiti vandalism and it is our policy to remove graffiti vandalism from substations or other assets within seven (7) working days of it being reported.

However, if the graffiti vandalism is offensive and in close proximity to a school or church, we aim to remove it within two (2) working days of it being reported.

The above timeframes may be extended due to restricted access, inclement weather or other issues outside of EnergyAustralia’s control.

Please see attached some examples of EnergyAustralia’s assets and how they are numbered.

Safety first
If you see graffiti vandalism on EnergyAustralia property near your home or business, for safety reasons, it is important that you do not attempt to remove it yourself as you may be exposing yourself to risk of electric shock.

The removal of graffiti vandalism from substations and other electrical equipment requires specific methods and materials and our graffiti removal team has been specially trained to work safely in and around our electricity network.
