Your energy agreement - Residential - NSW

Your rights and our obligations relating to your energy agreement with EnergyAustralia are derived from and comply with various codes, regulations, guidelines and consumer protection legislation.

Most of the agreements on this website apply only to EnergyAustralia customers on standard electricity rates. Customers who have taken up an energy contract (for 1, 2 or 3 years) should refer to their contract terms and conditions or call EnergyAustralia on 13 15 02 for assistance.

Residential Regulated Customer Price List - Electricity (37KB)
Rates for EnergyAustralia's regulated retail and green energy rates from 1 July 2008. These prices apply to customers on EnergyAustralia's Standard Form Customer Supply Contract who have not taken up an energy contract with EnergyAustralia.

Residential Market Agreement Customer Price Lists - Electricity and Gas
Rates for EnergyAustralia’s market agreement customers from 1 July 2008. These rates apply to customers who have taken up a market agreement with EnergyAustralia and whose agreement rates are linked to the regulated rates. Call us on 13 15 35 if your agreement rates are not linked to regulated rates. Current green energy rates can be viewed on the Regulated Customer Price List above.



Energy Explanatory Price Guide (151KB)
This document explains the basis for, and some background, on the tariffs set out in EnergyAustralia's Regulated Retail and Green Energy Tariffs Price Lists.

Standard Customer Supply Contract (406KB)
This document sets out the terms and conditions on which EnergyAustralia will supply electricity and other services to a customer at premises within EnergyAustralia’s network supply area. In the absence of any alternative contracts, this contract automatically applies. Standard Form Customer Connection Contract (SFCCC)
This document applies to all customers connected to the EnergyAustralia network and who have not entered into a separate negotiated customer connection contract. Under the Contract, EnergyAustralia has guaranteed customer service standards which include timely provision of services, giving notice before discontinuing supply or arranging disconnection, giving notice after disconnection, repairing faulty street lighting, providing a telephone service for customer queries.

This document details your rights and our responsibilities if you are a customer on either a Standard Customer Supply Contract. or a Standard Form Customer Connection Contract (SFCCC).

Default Gas Arrangements
EnergyAustralia is the default retailer for the supply of gas for some residential premises in NSW. For those customers who are supplied gas by EnergyAustralia under these arrangements the EnergyAustralia Default Gas Agreeement (08/10/2007) applies. The EnergyAustralia Customer Charter (08/10/2007) provides a summary of the customers rights and responsibilities. Read other important information relating to these arrangements.


ES7 Application of Network use of system charge (previously NCP7) (783KB)
This document provides further information regarding the application of charges to customers, for their connection to the EnergyAustralia Network.

Electricity Network Operation Standard (ENOS - formerly ES2)
It is inevitable that from time-to-time you may experience a temporary power fluctuation or interruption. This document provides you with information on the impact EnergyAustralia’s electricity network has on characteristics of the electricity supplied by your retailer through the EnergyAustralia electricity network. More advice can also be found in the following documents produced by the Electricity Supply Association of Australia (ESAA): The NSW Energy Marketing Code of Conduct (74KB)
The code is designed to protect residential and small business customers (those who consume less than 160MWh of electricity per year and less than 1TJ of gas per year). It applies to the marketing activities of all energy retailers and their agents, involved in marketing energy to customers considering taking up an energy contract with a retailer of their choice. It is a condition of our retail licence that we comply with this code.
