New City North zone substation

EnergyAustralia is constructing a new zone substation on the corner of Erskine and Sussex Streets in the sydney CBD.

The new substation is expected to be completed by the end of 2009 and over time will supply about 25 per cent of the power requirements of Sydney’s CBD.

The City North zone substation will be connected to the transmission supply network via the ‘City West Cable Tunnel’.
