Who can apply?
EnergyAustralia considers communication and interpersonal skills as important personal attributes of its employees and potential employees. As a result we require students, under the guidance of a parent, guardian or careers adviser to personally prepare their application. Further, EnergyAustralia will not accept applications from students represented by professional work placement organisations.
How do I apply?
Applications for work experience must be made by completing the on-line application attached to each work experience placement. No applications will be accepted through the post. Internet facilities can be found at most public libraries.
To apply students must complete the on-line application form which addresses issues such as why you would like to do a work experience placement at EnergyAustralia and what you expect to get out of the placement.
In addition to the application form the following documents must be scanned and attached:
- Student Placement form, provided by the learning institution and signed by a parent/caregiver.
- A letter issued by your school/institution giving details of current insurance, indicating expiry date.
- If requesting the “Network Engineering” or “Apprentice Training” applicants are also required to scan and attach a "WorkCover Construction Induction Certificate" also known as a "Green card" or "White card". This is organised by the students' School or TAFE and must be attached when completing your online application, otherwise your application will not be processed.
Applications meeting the above criteria will be considered in the order in which they are received. Incomplete applications will forfeit their place in the order of receipt, and returned outlining the reason a placement has not been allocated and the reason. These applications can be resubmitted however they will be considered in the order they have been received complete.
All communications regarding EnergyAustralia will be made by e-mail. A letter giving details of your placement will be e-mailed to your careers adviser.
Please note a minimum of 10 days is required for processing.
